From 1st to the 11th of December, the 16th RAID AMAZONS is taking place in Cambodia (Siem Reap). Participants come to this event as volunteers for helping associations. Participants should pass many steps. Being sportive is indispensable: trekking, biking, paddling, walking… unbelievable challenges they will make! IMODE is following them !
IMODI supports one of the team “Les crèmes de cassis”! Stéphanie and Caroline are working for Oncodesign company and participate to this event for helping an association which assists children with cancer. WHAT A FANTASTIC REASON!
IMODI commits itself to be part of this amazing initiative. From this sponsorship, IMODI has enabled Stéphanie and Caroline to make this trip happened. It has offered to “Coup D’Pouce” an opportunity to be more visible and known. Its mission is completely in line with IMODI’s ones, and then it was important for it to be involved in this team and this association.
“Coup D’Pouce” was created in 2001 by the children’s parents with cancer, its main objective is to improve every day, lives of sick children. The association offers various weekly workshops such as pet therapy and music therapy.
It also organizes trips for those children and their families. “Coup D’Pouce” finances prostheses for children who have undergone amputation and it organizes the development of living spaces (TV room, kitchen …) within the hospital for children’s families.
“As the “Ambassadors” of the association during the Amazons Raid, one of our aims in this challenge is to make children forget about their illness and treatment. We will try to make it by telling them each day our adventure through social networks. The donations will be used to buy a refrigerator to store foodstuffs for sick children and their families in compliance with health and safety rules.”
5 days have passed and until now, our 2 super women are amazing !
Stéphanie and Caroline had a race. 17,5 km to run under the sun. They brilliantly succeeded this step
They had to go canoeing for 13 km in Kompuong Phluk. They passed through Cambodian’s fishing villages
One of the days they enjoyed the most. They did 42 km with mountain bikes. Congratulations to our wonder women!
A Treasure hunt was waiting Stéphanie and Caroline. Organized by a company which is specialist in this kind of event, our women had to use their brain and their sense of direction. Angkor Wat, Bayon and Ta Prohm are the three main temples of the region that served as playgrounds for this hunt. Beyond the cultural aspect, this treasure hunt was also intended to allow competitors to know more each other and thus strengthen the spirit of cohesion.
We will get soon news about them and know how they handled the situation, especially the part of eating grilled tarantulas, grubs and locusts…
